Finalists have been announced from across the Australian resources sector for the Kinetic 2012 Training Awards.
For the second year in a row, Resource Nationalism is considered the biggest risk, closely followed by the Skills Shortage as the second biggest business risk.
Skills Queensland and Kinetic Group have teamed up to undertake a research project aimed at tackling the shortage of workers in statutory roles across the sector.
Key factors including major workforce growth and a high turnover rate are compromising the sector’s ability to capitalise on the worldwide commodities boom.
