When a reprint of a GI passport is required, who pays for it?
This depends on why the reprint is needed. Here are some examples:
- The photo ID does not meet the GI passport photo guidelinesĀ - the RTO must obtain a new photograph and pay for a reprint.
- I have lost my passport – the participant must pay for a reprint.
- My passport was stolen – the participant must pay for a reprint.
- The RTO entered the wrong postal address – the RTO must pay for a reprint.
- The participant provided the RTO with the wrong address – the participant must pay for a reprint.
- The RTO entered my personal information incorrectly – the RTO must pay for a reprint.
- The participant provided the RTO with incorrect personal information – the participant must pay for a reprint.
- I haven’t received my passport yet (within 2 months of course completion) – the passport is reprinted free of charge.
- I haven’t received my passport (outside the 2 month grace period) – the participant must pay for a reprint.
